Paul Williams Paralyzed - My Favorite Boxer Injured In Motorcycle Crash
It’s very sad news to read tweets “Boxer Paul Williams Paralyzed” by Manager George Peterson.
My favorite Boxer Paul Williams has been badly injured in a motorcycle accident in front of Atlanta, the fighter's promoter told and is presently paralyzed from the waist down.
Paul Williams is the 30-year-old young Boxer. The accident comes a week after it was announced that Williams would challenge World Boxing Council welterweight world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, Mexico's rising superstar, on 15 September in Las Vegas.
His promoter Dan Goossen added that the left-handed fighter is scheduled to undergo surgery at an unidentified hospital. Paul Williams resides in Aiken, S.C.
Goossen said he was told by Williams' manager and trainer that Williams swerved to keep away from contact with a vehicle Sunday and lost control of his motorcycle.
An Augusta, Ga., WRDW, TV station, reports that the Williams surgery will aim to become stable the healthy better half of his spine by putting a defensive wall about it.
Paul Williams is the 6'-1" (41-2, 27 knockouts) defined himself as an energetic punching southpaw who could fight anyplace stuck between welterweight and middleweight.
Here's wishing him the most complete and prompt improvement possible.
